If he doesn't want to visit, he doesn't want to visit. Airline tickets cost an arm and a leg anyway. When it comes down to it, you'll live, just like everybody else has...so don't worry.

Hehe, I think I said that last year... ;)

I know how you feel I was dead set on UND. Just be sure to get involved and get a large group of friends. Friends are super important here, as that's what makes UND doable.

And an open and positive mind. If your negative all the time about it your going to push yourself in depression and you gonna hate everything.

Exactly, Thank You! I already know what to expect from Grand Forks. Its cold and not a lot of entertaining compared to like other colleges. I am tired from big cities I just need to take a 4 year break. I lived in Boston been in all colleges there from Harvard to Northeastern, NYC, Moscow, Cleveland. Yes there might be better choices but there always be better choices. I hear people hear regretting going to UND. I don't regret a single thing I did for example I procrastinate a lot during high school and could've went to good colleges like Columbia university where my parents work or Boston college but do I regret it no. It was my choice and I know when senior year comes right now I be screwed :buck: I don't even know if I can get accepted to UND, so lets stop on that.

Anyways Like I said I got accepted to Crookston So far How is it down there I heard its next to Grand Forks? Do a lot of Crookston kids transfer to UND later on or no need to?

UNDs automatic admission standards are 2.5 GPA and 1030 SAT scores... I think you will be alright, if not, they will still take you but you'd be on provisional admission, which isn't a big deal.

As Micaoct said... Stay positive when you get here. That will make it more fun for you. :)

God, this thread is so full of grammatical and punctuational errors. I'm about to puke. What has America become? I'm always saddened to see the new breed of "professionals."

too be honest it doesnt really matter how i write in forums because its just the internet anyways and who cares what people think out there if theyre in some forums than they must not care about how too write good all i care about is how to fly an airplanes seriously your acting holyer than thou if you think your better then the rest than u should prolly be teaching english and not how to show people how too fly airplanes yo jigga

Hehe, just wait till you get to UND, a good chunk of aviation students are out of state. The biggest complainers, at least the most vocal ones, are from "big" cities. They complain about the rules, the schedules (yes, not everyone can fly at 1 pm M-F), etc. UND is what it is, you get very good training as long as you do your part and with hiring and such the way it is now you are almost guaranteed job instructing at UND (just look at the quality they have hired lately). I HIGHLY suggest visiting the surrounding town(s) and meeting those fine people.
 
Some people complain just for the sake of complaining. It makes them feel better about themselves.

I can't say I care for the airport manager in Mayville. When 4 UND planes divert there in the cold and would like in to the building, and he is too busy to let us in because he is at home watching golf, that is where I draw the line. Thankfully his wife came and opened the door 30 minutes later and told us what he was doing so we had time to fume. :crazy:

the school is tiny, but the aviation program is very tight nit as there are only like 30-40 students. I used to instruct there and there program is great. it does have some down sides but nothing that couldn't be changed, the TCO is usually just 1 edition old from UND's so it is like a 141 program and a 61 atmosphere

I don't know about that. We've had one of the highest completion rates ever this semester. Unless they're dumbing down stage checks all of a sudden, I think us newbs are doing pretty good. :bandit:
