Ok, cool - I just wanted to make sure I hadn't bought an 8K hour airplane that actually has 10K hours on it.Usually tach time is used for aircraft and Hobbs time is for pilots. This is based on FAR definitions, by the way. However, at the 135 I worked at we used a Hobbs meters driven activated by air pressure to track aircraft time. So there are different ways to do it.
