New ALPA leaders

I talked to that bonehead tonight and he didn't mention a thing about the EVP position!

Tonight? Crap, it's almost 5, I'd better go to bed.

Congrats guys. Don't become one of those guys that focuses on ALPA and ignores the profession. There are a lot if guys out there who think ALPA can do no wrong and if the people don't like it, too bad.

Congrats to you both! Good to finally meet you Mark and I had no idea that Todd was JCs Todd! I'll try to catch you today before its over. Congrats again!

Congrats to Seggy & Todd. :)

As for Moak... well, if I don't anything nice to say then I shouldn't say anything at all. So _______________________________________________ is all I have to say about that.

So Todd, just curious... What will happen if the SWA merger goes through, and AirTran becomes part of SWAPA? Will you still retain your position through the full term? Don't take my question as a back-handed dig, because it's not. I'm just curious how that would shake out.

Vice Admiral Moak is running the ship boys. You all better shape up and relax those buttocks. 76 seat flying for everyone! And at 24 bucks to start who can argue with the benefit you all our profession and careers!

LONG LIVE MOAK. 4 MORE YEARS. MY REGOINAL LIVELYHOOD IS SAVED!

Can someone get me on video with some tears so I can embed?

Thank goodness for Age 65...some of us who don't want to spend the rest of our careers flying 76 seat jets for $90/hr may actually have an opportunity to fly something larger than 84,500lbs (CRJ-900 LR MTW) for much more with significantly improved work rules and QOL advancements when we escape this regional jail.

And I don't even want to be in the nosebleed section watching the SWAPA vs. ALPA silliness...

Well, I've had a couple grapefruit tequilas, and I've only been in the 121 industry for a couple years now, but if I had to sum it up from my perspective, the guy either doesn't understand the importance of scope one iota, or just doesn't care.

Others can elaborate on their own opinion.

I got your grapefruit right here.:)
"The guy" understands fine, relax. He wants out of this stupid regional life as much as anyone. Forgive him for having a life.

This is sorta what I was getting out. Let's face it, Delta has relaxed scope more than any other airline in the past. They even had to relax it more by making special provisions during the NWA merger since they were suddenly over on the 76 seat front. Rather than saying "No, park 'em. We want that flying, " they went with "Oh, it's cool. We want to make everyone happy." Like Joe, here, I don't want to retire a CA on a CRJ-900 at Pinnacle (or 100 seat or 120 seat). Actually, that won't happen. I'll either be back pushing buttons at a theme park, slinging bags or in a sleazy motel with a bottle of whiskey to drown my sorrows by that point. Until Moak shows that he's willing to take a stand on scope, it's gonna be hard to put aside those personal feelings and get behind him.

Lol. Let me be clear because my sarcasm isn't getting through the post. Park all the regionals, today. I have no desire to retire at a regional. Mainline livery, mainline pilots. Even if that means I have to go back to dispatching, emi tech, or waiting tables (2 of 3 I made more money anyhow).

I agree with Steve, unless Vice Admiral Moak changes his tune, there's no getting behind him.

PS: I really thought saying "Regional livelyhood" alone would equate to a sarcasm tag.

I do not support the ALPA President.

I may even cancel my PAC check off because ALPA supports the 500 hour exception for the puppy mill grads....

I'm sure that'll look great.... Leg Affairs Rep not doing PAC check off.... hope it gets the message across.

Todd and Mark - don't lose site of the main thing... no scope erosion... only scope recovery.

It was a long election...6 rounds and 7.5 hours. I'm not sure about Moak yet, however he is a far better choice than what could have been...Stratton. He and lee got an almost equal number of votes in the first round of voting.

You're a leg affairs rep huh?

:yeahthat:

Please. Enough scope relaxation.

No. More.

If so, I apologize.

Yeah, I was referring to Moak, who'd you think I was referring to? Seggy or ATN? Heck no! They aren't senior enough along to make statements like "RJs are good for the company" anyway. :p

While I'm at it, congratulations to you two!
