Eeg, no problem, I am very thick skinned... You were just missing the substance and reason for my posts... I think you have seen it now... No hard feelings...

If you are coming into this industry, don't come in blind... There are plus's and minus's to every route, every job... Before I came here, most members thought if it flew in something that looked like a LearJet, it was "Flying Corporate"... I think I have for the most part squashed that misconception... This site is mainly for young folks getting into this industry who may not have much industry knowledge... I feel it is the job of the people who have been there (Doug, MikeD, NJA_Capt, myself, etc...) to try and give you views from the different jobs/route we have taken (they are all VERY different)... This involves disclosing info that may be for comparison purposes... If someone asks my pay, or how it compares to a Fractional, I will tell them... I really have nothing to hide...

Nice try, BUT you have to read the WHOLE SENTENCE and keep it in context!

"Nothing to hide" refers to the pay category...
 
Very good point. Some answers I give people are things that want to hear, others are things that they don't want to hear but 100% of it is my own personal perspective.

Which is why I try to welcome other professional pilots into the fold to offer their own distinct perspective on the field.

I'm glad it mellowed out too, it's easy to sit around and argue with each other on the computer, but it just doesn't accomplish anything. I fly for a fractional and enjoy it, that doesn't mean I wouldn't consider a corporate flying job some day, but it would have to be a "desirable" one. What it comes down to is that there is no perfect position that fits the bill for everybody, so it's a good thing there are so many different types of flying jobs out there.
