Morbid curiosity. Upgrade times?

Yeah, there are 12 year guys that are upgrading that can't hold MCO or ATL. Every other base sure.

ATL due to the AT merger. MCO due to the fact every senior guy that has 3-5 years left moved down and limits any Vacancies.

I have been here 9.5 years and can hold Captain in every base except for ATL and MCO. I'm at least 1000 numbers junior to the most junior Orlando Captain

Hell - I may going to Houston when I upgrade.. or Dallas. Maybe ill just move to the Dallas area. Since Florida is at the 13-14 year mark for upgrades getting in. Unreal.

Latest SWA vacancy has most junior captain in MDW, followed closely by DEN, OAK, and BWI. Right at 6 and a half years. New hire FOs are now being assigned ATL amongst other bases.

This vacancy is always an outlier because September is vacation migration season.

Like Skywest and DTW? :)

I honestly have no clue about anything Skywest, I didn’t even know they had a base in DTW. Did they buy Mesaba or something? Or was that the other NWA airlink?

For us it’s just some guys scramble around to get better seniority to bid vacation, some even drop back to FO for it as it is only a four month seatlock.

I have a friend who just got XXX220A at just over a year on property. She won't have enough 121 hours for probably over a year to actually hold it though. And I forgot, she is a DINK which made me think of this

18 months at AA
to expand on this.

73 CA went to a Feb 22' hire in NY

Miami and PHL were around 2 years.
DFW went bout 4-4.5 years on the Airbus (WB FO went around 6-7 years)
Miami 777FO I believe was around 3 years.
I don't remember what ORD, LAX, or PHX was because life...am I right

I'm not going to commute for an upgrade or a WB FO seat...but with the dynamic environment I'll have to choose between upgrading or waiting for a 78 right seat.

first world problems.
