Umm, I made that as a mid level FO flying international at SJA. Try adding another 100K to that for a captain. The TA rates at Delta have a 777 captain making $350K.

Haha...I seriously meant to put $300,000. Didn't even notice I hit the 2.

Anyway...yeah 300 is easy international with heavys.

There are a few senior captains at SW, working the system, trades and working lots of high % OT that have broken the $400,000 mark in a year.

Senior MD88/90 Captain working the Greenslip system made $450,000 in 2014 including profit sharing. One must live in base to work the system like this.

Only if you include profit sharing, which goes into retirement at SWA.

A lot of the whining has to do with the fact that most of us (yes, this means YOU) will never make that kind of money, nor anything like it.

The entire hateful mess is built upon the belief of the young and gullible that probability doesn't apply to them.

This is only in the last few years when the majors finally brought pay back to what it used to be before the massive pay cuts after 911.

Lufthansa has some high earners. Was a lot more dramatic when the Euro was 1,60 to the $ though but I think top guys are over 300.000€. I would have to check though.

I was referring to 121 jobs in general, not just the legacies.

A lot of pay rates are posted at APC. An easy rule of thumb is to take the hourly rate and add three 0s to it to have yearly pay, not including per diem. Great Lakes paid me just over 16/hr when I was there, and I think I just cleared 18k my first year, which included PD.
