The -10 has a MZFW max range of ~2,500 NM
This thing is gonna go down in history as a turd. Cant do a transcon and frankenstein'd together
It’s a complete disaster. We went from waiting for nearly 5 years for 12 extra seats to now doing transcons with a 2500NM aircraft for 80-100 premium customers with lie flat beds? Ditching 88 seats?Well, at least several/some/one airlines are staking their growth plans squarely on this thing?I did think it was sort of creative to presumably strip them down, not capitalize on the pax count potential, and instead stretch the leg room and add lie-flats for quasi international premium. That could actually be how you get some juice that is worth the squeeze, provided there is a market for it at whatever price point that will command.

Cant wait to fuel stop and wake ever single premium customer because the weather is bad on the East Coast.
The irony if it turns out we should have been taking 8s and 9s all along…

Anything with a runway less than 11,000’ on either end? What city pairs are the biggest challenge for the -10MAX?
(not a guppy guy)

I don’t actually know, but with a heavier airplane and the same wing and engines as the Max 9 it’s gotta be worse right? Thats physics?Runway hog.. got it.
So contaminated runways are now even more interesting?
(I can't imagine the takeoff run)
Is there a pitch limitation on takeoff?
but I'm also not looking for a reason to hate on it
Hah! I caught myself playing "737 Sommelier" trying to identify the vintage.

Supposedly with the trickery in the landing gear (which I still don’t understand, and I’m not a dummy when it comes to landing gear, having rebuilt multiple landing gear systems from the ground up) the pitch behavior on takeoff/landing is the same as the -9.
It is also silly because the party line here for forever is "gaahhhhh damn Boeing can't deliver the MAX 10 and it won't get certified and there will be no movement because of that so damn Boeing and airbus is so great" and now that it is certified it is "ahhh the MAX 10 sucks". I've actually seen it in person and touched one, I bet nobody else has. Anyway, it'll be another 737. I'm fairly certain it will perform like a MAX 9. I literally can't tell the difference between a MAX 8, 9, 9ER, or an 800. The 700 also feels the same to me, other than the engine noise is louder on takeoff and everything inside looks different. Some of you guys are getting really lost in your esoteric airliner nerdery. I do like the MAX more than the others because it lands better and the displays are nicer. That's about the only difference I notice.
