Boeing Lounge MAX 10 FAA Certification

I don’t actually know, but with a heavier airplane and the same wing and engines as the Max 9 it’s gotta be worse right? Thats physics?

Supposedly with the trickery in the landing gear (which I still don’t understand, and I’m not a dummy when it comes to landing gear, having rebuilt multiple landing gear systems from the ground up) the pitch behavior on takeoff/landing is the same as the -9.

Right, forgot about the "Special" main gear.

One more thing to require a checklist after a long flight.

Yeah they got me down to the last guy on the list and everyone below me was displaced or downgraded, and you’re like

dOwNgRaDe AnY MiNuTe NoW

I wouldn’t wish the last 4 years of essentially being the plug on anyone. Of course I can’t wish it on you since you’ll never get the opportunity in your base.

You were hired in 2018, took the first upgrade in 2023, basically a 4-5 yr upgrade and you’ve been a junior CA since then. Nearly HALF your 8 yrs at this place have been as CA.

Versus, those hired after March 2019 who STILL can’t even hold Capt. Some of them would love to take your spot, and would do so without complaining. They are going 7 yrs now and still FO with no chance of holding an upgrade award so far.

Numerous months as CA you’ve gotten reduced credit lines. 50 hrs of pay with something like 23-24 days off.

Stop your whining, it’s getting old.

It is also silly because the party line here for forever is "gaahhhhh damn Boeing can't deliver the MAX 10 and it won't get certified and there will be no movement because of that so damn Boeing and airbus is so great" and now that it is certified it is "ahhh the MAX 10 sucks". I've actually seen it in person and touched one, I bet nobody else has. Anyway, it'll be another 737. I'm fairly certain it will perform like a MAX 9. I literally can't tell the difference between a MAX 8, 9, 9ER, or an 800. The 700 also feels the same to me, other than the engine noise is louder on takeoff and everything inside looks different. Some of you guys are getting really lost in your esoteric airliner nerdery. I do like the MAX more than the others because it lands better and the displays are nicer. That's about the only difference I notice.

Spot on, well said!
