Malaysia Airlines 777 missing

They're probably trying to get confirmation on the hoax all over social media that Philip Wood sent a phot and message from Diego Garcia. I hope they get that scoop. Bwahahaha!

Didn't you know? All pilots are ranked. I'm number 31651 right now, long way to go.....

I got down to 4,392 once, but then the "Summer of Aviation Apathy" hit a few years ago and I'm in the high 40,000's.

The checks are still coming and the weather is nice outside now, so I really don't feel like working on my amateur pilot ranking today.

We can see pavement now!

Le sigh

Hey bro, when do the new amateur pilot rankings come out in Canada? Right after Boxing Day or is it Bank Day?

On a related note, I thought it was all permafrost up there!
Swear to god when the glacier melts enough that we can escape the valley I'm gonna have to come dish out some lessons

Dear CNN,
The "Pinger" you speak of does exist, but not in the reality you're trying to create. Its real name is a ULB, Underwater Locator Beacon. The minimum length of time the ULB must put out its signal is a month, just like everything else in aviation it too is engineered to exceed the minimum requirement by a margin of at least 50%. Stop tryng to invent new names for things that have been in use for many years, it further reduces your credibility.

Best Regards, knot4u

Could this be true? Is 37.5kHz what they're looking for?

Read this first thing this morning. My immediate reaction was, why is this being reported until it's verified? Haven't we been through enough false leads already that the media hasn't learned to just sit back and wait a moment before putting forth yet another shrill, overblown headline?

I wonder how many sonobouys will be found before they find a 777.
