Malaysia Airlines 777 missing

Wow. Go away on a month-long transpacific cruise and come back to find y'all are still at it. Everyone knows by now that the window for finding this thing has long passed, and that the chances of finding it are right around zero by now (pretty much what a said just before I left for Sydney), right? I doubt the authorities have anything concrete enough to pinpoint a position within a couple of thousand square miles at this point.

On the upside (if there truly is one) — after 74 years this kind of takes the pressure off looking for Amelia Earhart. That search now seems so 1930s in comparison.

By the way, GeoReasonance? Snake oil salesmen trying to sell technology that hasn't been invented to investors who don't know any better using "evidence" that in all probability doesn't even exist, and doing so by capitalizing on this tragedy in the worst possible way.

Not many are posting on this anymore. No one really cares, at least I dont. Prior to your post, the last one was Friday and before that? A week ago. Most of the posts have little to do with the airplane. If something good comes up, Im sure it will be popular again, but for now, its pretty much that old ass amusement park no one visits anymore.
 
At some point, the ocean floor will rise to the surface. When it does, they'll find it. Until then, let's all enjoy football season.

That being said, I really do wish family/friends could get some type of closure on this. It's a bad situation for them, no doubt.
