What complex about busses and circuit breakers?Do you even know the complexity of aviation circuit breakers & electrical busses?

Have they really? UGH. How damn hard is it to be honest and say we don't have any facts rather than stir up theories? It fails to be news when it becomes a hypothetical scenario that they broadcast as a probability. It should be illegal.CNN has been reporting that it probably is the captain because of his YouTube videos and how knowledgable he is with the aircraft.

Anyone see former NW Pilot, David Funk absolutely school Richard Quest and whoever the female host was? Finally a voice of sanity in the aviation experts. In response to him alluding to this being a simple answer, i.e.- Cockpit fire or electrical fire, pilots load shedding and ACARS and transponder being on the absolutely un-essential list. Host was blown away, and said thats just too hard to imagine. Ooooookay
Can someone with an international Jepp subscription cross check the route of flight west of Malaysia with the high alt jet route chart? Heard ABC report this morning that the route of flight was actually on a "the major route towards Europe". Just curious if that's accurate.

What would the remedy be?

I don't fly large aircraft but I would want the ability to shut off these electrical components in case there's a short.meaning what you pull the circuit breaker the CVR would be useless? that kinda defeats the purpose of having it on the aircraft if it can be turned off so easily
Here comes another theory on CNN. Lithium batteries. Apparently, like most flights in the world, this airplane had lithium batteries in the cargo hold. Im more inclined to believe that then the hijacking theory. Fire starts, kills electronics, someone puts it out but the damage has been done to major system components including the oxygen and pressurization systems while they attempt to head back to the airport. Either way, this is going to be a pivotal accident for the entire industry.
Yeah they were showing video of him with his simulator and said he is more knowledgable then your average captain so he could possibly hijack his own plane. Big face palm.Have they really? UGH.
