Job Summary

The Fixed-Wing Maintenance Examiner (ME) /Instructor Pilot (IP) assists the Standardization Pilot (SP) with the management of the standardization program. Ensures that all Maintenance Pilots (MP)/Pilots are fully integrated into the ATP, trains and evaluates MPs/Pilots and ensures compliance with all INL/A Standardization directives, Aircrew Training Manuals, and ATP requirements.

Principal Accountabilities
Provide fixed wing aviation support services for Chief of Mission personnel or other personnel required by U.S. Government Authority to conduct official business.
Perform operational checks, routine maintenance, and maintenance test flights to ensure the airworthiness of the fleet.
Monitor flight instruction, to include standardization of transitions, annual proficiency reviews and flight evaluations.
Conduct day and night flights, under visual and instrument meteorological conditions.
Conduct academic and hands-on performance training and administers evaluations to ensure RCM/NRCM proficiency and standardization of training in addition to maintaining individual IATFs and completing AWIS entries.
Ensure all fixed wing RCMs and NRCMs are fully integrated into the ATP, train and evaluates RCMs and NRCM’s in their designated aircraft
Ensure compliance with all INL/A Standardization Directives, Aircrew Training Manuals, and ATP requirements.
Develop individual flight training plans in support of the organization’s mission and ATP.
Develop and administer examinations to determine the proficiency of fixed-wing pilots, test pilots, and non-rated crew members.
Monitor flight instruction including standardization of transitions, annual proficiency reviews, and flight evaluations.
Report status of crewmember training, proficiency reviews, flight evaluations, currency of certifications and records.
Oversee maintenance of crewmember flight records, weight and balance calculations, and risk assessments.
Perform duties as a Pilot, Pilot-in-Command, Instructor Pilot, Maintenance Pilot, Maintenance Examiner, Air Mission Commander, or Lead Pilot.
Perform other administrative task as assigned.
Perform additional qualified duties related to flight operations as required.
Knowledge & Skills
Able to show documented completion of a manufacturer’s course of instruction, military flight training or a DoS program of instruction in assigned aircraft.
Ability to demonstrate proficiency in understanding aircraft systems, components, and operations.
Individual must possess a thorough knowledge of FAA and ICAO regulations pertinent to the host country and operational requirement.
Possess a current US Passport or the ability to obtain one before assignment.
Demonstrated, proven and verifiable aviation experience including ethics, ability, and professionalism of the highest standards are required for this position.
Possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance is a condition of employment; an active DoD Secret Security Clearance is preferred.
