Republic Airways Indianapolis, Indiana:<BR /><p>POSITION PURPOSE</p><p>Provides guidance and work direction to Crew Schedulers to ensure the compliance of the crewmember schedules and ensure flights are properly staffed according to Company and FAA government regulations.</p><p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES </p><p><i>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.&nbsp; Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.&nbsp; Other duties may be assigned to this position as needed.</i></p><p><ul><li>Oversees the daily transactions for the Crew Scheduling team as well as providing work direction and guidance on critical decisions to the team.</li><li>Fields concerns and complaints by crewmembers, crew schedulers and Teamsters and escalates as necessary.</li><li>Monitors all crew legalities in regards to block, rest and duty.</li><li>Monitors negative turns and potential downline delays and creates recrew opportunities.</li><li>Keeps operations/dispatch posted of any delays, cancellations, and swaps and makes the final call on delays and cancellations.</li><li>Ensures the best utilization of crewmembers.</li><li>Tracks pairing and crew exceptions in Crew Trac and rectifies when needed.</li><li>Ensures all open flying is covered up to 5 days out.</li><li>Provides daily turnovers to the next shift, the scheduling manager, and other members of the management team. &nbsp;Participates in shift meetings, shift turnover and briefings as required.</li><li>Ensures all crew scheduling tasks are completed.</li><li>Provides excellent and timely customer service to crewmembers, including hotel and flight crew reservations and deadhead passes when required.</li><li>Provides coaching and on-the-job training as directed.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned or required.</li></ul><p><p>REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p><p><i>The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.</i></p><p><p><u>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</u>.</p><ul><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED).&nbsp;</li><li>At least one year of crew scheduling experience with FAR 117 and FAR 121.</li><li>Proficient knowledge and experience with Sabre and other aviation related software systems required.</li><li>Able to utilize Microsoft Office applications.</li><li>Ability to perform high-level decision making and goal setting within strict time constraints.</li></ul><p><p><u>PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</u></p><ul><li>At least 3 years related experience.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in a call center environment.</li><li>Experience leading others.</li></ul><p><p><u>LANGUAGE SKILLS</u></p><p>Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.&nbsp; Ability to write simple correspondence.&nbsp; Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. &nbsp;Able to deliver negative information in a tactful and professional manner.</p><p><p><u>REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY</u></p><p>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.&nbsp; Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Able to deal with conflict effectively while treating all employees with respect.</p><p><p><u>DECISION MAKING </u></p><p>Makes limited decisions and determines best methods to solve problems by referring to established precedents and policies.&nbsp; Impact of decisions is moderately low.</p><p><p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS<br><i>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</i></p><p>Able to move about the work environment.&nbsp;</p><p>Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear.</p><p><p>WORK ENVIRONMENT<br><i>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.</i></p><p>Typically not exposed to extreme environmental conditions.</p><p>Must be able to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.</p><p><p>TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS</p><p>None.</p><p><img>
