I figured there would be a "learning period" for us line folk.

Well it's already in our FOM that all crewmembers are required to have their iPads with them for each flight segement. The whole airline is pretty much operating in violation of the FOM right now, it's pretty awesome.

Hot off the rumor press: I heard the ipads are going to be installed in each plane. Anybody hear the same? Seems a little strange since we have over 500 ipads and the FOM requires us to carry them.

No, just the mounts be installed in each airplane. Each pilot will be assigned and have to carry a IPad. The base manager in Los Angeles also has IPads in his possession as we speak. Hope this helps to answer your question.

I wondered why I haven't seen you sitting ready reserve lately.

I hope they kept the receipts to all those iPads if they send them back. Having a $200k in store credit would kind of suck for a company.

And for the record I am NOT complaining. Don't care if lido charts look like a 2nd grade crayon disaster. As long as there is no paper involved I'm stoked.
