Life at Compass

There are some near shanty's in Hermosa though.
Hmmm, I grew up in both manhattan and Hermosa beach. Maybe 15 years ago you could find a "shanty". Now it's a bit hard and with lot values at the seven figure price range it's extremely uneconomical.

If I was based in LAX, Id take refuge down in Huntington Beach. Love that place and the in-laws live about 2 blocks from the beach.

You ever think about getting back into the game @SeanD ? Think of the overnights!

Hell no, but I do miss some of the overnights. The long BNA overnight at XJT was the best. TYS was fun and GRB was cool (during football season). I may be in the minority, but I kind of enjoyed the RAP overnight for the creepy, haunted hotel we stayed in. They have a pretty cool little Irish bar there too. They had actually just filmed an episode of Ghost Hunters a few nights prior to one of my overnights there. You'll appreciate that one. ;) All the long overnights were decent and XJT puts their crews up in some pretty nice hotels.

Nothing beats the hotel Colgan used to put crews up in PQI. Creepiness at a whole new level.
@amorris311, @crazyjaydawg can vouch to that

Best part of PQI was the cab rides in the mornings with all the people who had DUI's and the schoolbus route it took to get to the airport. Finally started having JW and KGB come pick me up.

Spent a week in PQI doing the AM shows one time. The cab driver told me the same EXACT story every morning 5 days in a row!! It was like ground hog day. Back in the old Northeast Yellowbird they used to run a "deuce" up there. The young captain could never get in but the old captain always could. "As long as he could see the light up there on that hill near the airport he'd get her in every time, that young fella, he'd have to turn around n go back down to Bang every time"

On EBT card re-load day you need to carry your bag in the back of the taxi because they are making beer deliveries and the trunk is full!

I miss that place. Oh wait a minute I forgot I still go there. Dump :)

Yeah. I love coming up that way for a bike ride whenever I can get away but I'm glad I didn't buy up there. I got way more for my money in South OC.
Way more for your money in south OC? Said know one ever, lol. Versus LA area? What part of S OC?
