Life at Compass

2 more Qs:
1) Does CPZ have a commuter clause? i.e. you need to allow X amount of flights before your show time?
2) What the are upgrade minimums? 1,000 SIC 121 (from any 121) or 1,000 SIC hours at CPZ?
Thanks

1. Yes. Generally just have to give yourself two options to get to work but there is a limit on the number of times you can use the commuter clause in a year. I believe that it is 3 times.
2. Upgrade minimums are 2500 total, 1000 multi or 2000 total and 1500 multi. Obviously still need your 1000 121 hours.

@Alphabeta you can bid for late or early show times depending what you want. My showtime on Sunday was 0515, but you could have anytime between then and 2000 or so.. at least from what I've seen the last couple months. Early show time trips usually end early too, by about noon. Or earlier if it's a CDO trip

Just tried to check in via LHSystems and it said I have nothing to check-in for. So I'm assuming it's not up and running yet.

Anyone see a new release yet?

@spitfire5181 my login doesn't even work for LHS, they said they were having trouble and would send me a new one. So looks like issues, I'm sure they'll be more with a new system.

Not much new with the employee conference call. First order of business was acknowledging that the call in system is terrible and annoying.

Delta D0 sucks, but is improving. AA performance is awesome, beat all goals.

Someone's birthday is November 5th.

Lufthansa systems implementation is on track for Feb 1, 2016.

Base visits:
LAX 12/8 and 12/9
SEA 12/10
MSP 12/15

Last class of flight attendants are graduating this week. Next class will be in late December.

New cities in November are ELP, EUG and ABQ. MTJ starts in December.

Shuttle flying goes all Delta in January. The aircraft shuttle aircraft will be doing other flying on the west coast.

DL 175s are getting new interiors, with in-seat power in First and economy comfort.

MX says they need to focus on AOS timelines. Trying to avoid extended downtime.

SMS says keep filing your safety reports (ASAPs). They had half the turbulence related injuries this year compared to last year. (Good Job)

I think that was pretty much it. They need to figure out a new phone conferencing system.. That thing is terrible.

You didn't mention the $1500 if you refer a friend and they get hired that's coming down the pipe shortly. Since we didn't see as many hires in Q4.

Thanks for the write up!

I think Republic would love to negotiate this with Delta. If they could unload Shuttle, that would solve a lot of their staffing issues.
Now that poky issue of swapping cert's. Does their new CBA allow it?

FIFY. Only pilots would think crap like this could actually happen.

Oh, I just love the discussions about this stuff over there (and everywhere else, to be honest). I don't care if it is true or not, and care even less about the mechanics of how it might or might not happen.

All of the "my regional rocks" and "your regional sucks", conspiracy theories about who-is-buying-whom, etc, is just so idiotic that it is entertaining. Everyone grasps on to the smallest rumor that could possibly mean their fortunes are improving (or another regional's star is falling) and talks it up like junior high school boys gloating about getting their first feel of a boob at the school dance. More aptly, it is like a bumfighing video. Sad that the discussion is taking place with such enthusiasm, and both embarrassing to watch but also impossible to ignore like a car wreck.

I've been on APC for years but never paid attention to most of these moronic rumor-mill discussions before. Apparently I've been missing out on reams of entertainment for years.
