Life at Compass

Looks like it diverted on the way to Seattle. So I am guessing it probably broke. But I don't know.

I'm not sure I'd assume that. They make a decision at some point en route to go to ANC or FAI if things are hitting the fan up in FAI. Or if you couldn't get into FAI and ANC was your alternate, you don't have a ton of time to screw around in FAI before you have to pull the trigger on heading to ANC.

Fair enough. Just seemed odd on a southbound flight. It is still sitting there after eight hours, so who knows.

Has anyone heard rumors of the SJC hotel changing? Just had my first overnight here and this place is substandard in my opinion. I know people have been talking about hotels changing and couldn't remember if this was one of them.

I agree it's terrible and Its being discussed. However, even with all the people who complain about it, people rarely put it down in writing with the union. Take the time to fill out the hotel feedback form on our ALPA site, and hopefully it will be changed soon.

Speaking of which, I need to fill out one myself. That place smells.

Please fill out the hotel feedback form. Takes just a couple of minutes and is the best way to address the issues. Keep in mind the form content is sent directly to union, company, and hotel agency.

Cool.. got a friend interested in them; lives in Fairbanks and wants a SEA base and having a SEA-FAI run would make getting home frequently a lot easier,
I'll pass this info on, thanks
Supposedly we won't be doing that flight all year. So food for thought.

SJC is being looked at for a new hotel, as is SAT. Things happen slowly, but the feedback forms help push the issue along. ;)

Supposedly the hot water is hit and miss and there have been multiple bed bug complaints spread out over a span

Holy crap they're still having problems with the hot water? We were having problems with that when we flew together like 3 years ago.

To the crew who accepted the visual approach to 25R this afternoon in LAX, didn't sound too professional to THEN ask for the localizer frequency.

Have the PM look it up.
