Life at Compass

If maximizing consecutive days off is the goal, just a strategy to anyone while the topic is up: bid a vacation period that touches two months so that there are two separate bid opportunities to get days off before vacation and then a separate one to get days off after vacation.

That's exactly what I did this year. Wound up with something like 25 days off.

Kept the bids for each month really, really simple, requested a long block of days off that touched my vacation on either end and gave Flica free reign otherwise. Worked out great.

That's right, when not being picky it can always do 5-8 days off adjacent to vacation for someone who bids at least 60%.

Five or six years in a row now I've had at least 23-25 days, and this year got 33 consecutive days off with 18 vacation days.

Sweet! I'm looking forward to next year and how much time off I can swing with more than 7 days of vacation.

I waived everyfrigginthing I could find and lucked out when my 12-month got postponed.

I flew so little in February and March it was embarrassing. :-)

Do Compass newhire get discount offer on a Luggaeworks bag? Either during class or after? If so, how much discount?

I already had gear, so I don't recall the details. The staff at M&H Uniforms MSP(Building C) will be able to provide the details you requested.

And as for a related topic, not just what kind of shirts to buy, but also, how many shirts to buy?

Well, as many as one can fit in a 26" rolling bag, that's how many.

Yep that's deplorable.

Who does he think he is? A Pan Am Flying Boat Captain flying a month long trip?
