LGA Southernjets "word on the street"

Midwest:

They came out of the paintshop Midwest. They put on a sticker. Now it says connect.

US @ LGA

US bet that the perimeter limit would be lifted. The price of the bet was operating unprofitable regional routes to keep the slots. The bet isn't paying off. US doesn't need to feed flights at LGA. If they need to make connections they can go to PHL (I don't personally recommend it, but its no worse than LGA).

I do not see the perimeter rule being lifted. It would be a nice airport if Airways could get it lifted though. LGA really does not have the space to be a hub either- only 4 MX hangars on the entire field.

I know Colgan breaks even or loses money in LGA, but holds on to it for the slots that they own. Yes- Colgan owns their slots at LGA- not US Airways.
