Let me address something....

Dude, I'm feeling old. Someone was talking about the song "Boys of Summer" and was telling me about how great the Ataris are and how they're so talented to have put together that song. I'm like, um, that was a cover of a song by Don Henley, and all I got back was a blank stare.

So I said, you know, Don Henley. The Eagles.

And I got back, what do the Philadelphia Eagles have to do with that song?

Now I know how my dad felt when I told him how cool Billy Idol's Mony Mony was.

Well, when I was in high school, a friend of mine had an eight track in his -- oh, crap, I don't remember what kind of car it was -- but it was a huge boat like something you'd see in Starsky and Hutch or something like that.

Yes! That was it! It was like a battleship and it even had that gunmetal grey color or whatever they call it!
 
My best friend in High School (c/o '83 WOOHOO!!) had an 8-track in his old `76 Mustang.. the four cylinder POS that Ford tried to pass off as a Mustang in the 70's.

Anyway, we used to listen to Journey and the sound track from Footloose on that thing.

Used to "love" when it would switch sides in the middle of a song. For the longest time, the song just didn't sound right when played on the radio without the break.
