Leave UAL for FDX?

So the better alternative is to leave mins at 1000 total and ATP mins, and open the flood gates for everyone and their mother, and then complain your hardest time is finding the right culturally-fit candidate?

If only there was some way to narrow the pool down some. A college degree requirement is one good way, but there are many others too.

No, that's not what I said.

Dude, the recruitment world is more complex than the view from your couch.

Even though I know, on good measure, that @Cherokee_Cruiser is following the Delta pilot recruitment page for obvious reasons, here's a graphic:

I always wonder who is the 24 year old, 2000 hr civilian pilot, and how the heck they got the job, every airline has some lucky someone.

It doesn't seem to be all that rare right now.

I'm not on Facebook and don't have DeltaNet access anymore, so this is the first I've seen this graphic.

I HIGHLY doubt @Cherokee_Cruiser is following the Delta Airlines (;) ) recruitment page. He seems so satisfied where he is and uninterested in everything Delta.

Oh no, I'm not satisfied. Retiring #3 at the 5th largest airline must suck. Come on, lets be real. It's not like I'm at a regional or a shady 135/121 operator. Our airline has virtually zero attrition of guys going to other airlines, save for a couple newhires who leave within 12 months. It's still a destination place for many.
