Layover food

Life changing Banh Mi in HNL

Imagine enchiladas, but instead of roja or verde salsa, it’s this spicy smooth frijole sauce.

I had some filled with chorizo and over-easy eggs for breakfast after NGPA and it was just like “WHERE HAVE THESE BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!” :)

Not hard to make either. Like standard Mexican food, it looks like hell but brother.. it’s heaven:

I don’t like chunk potatoes but I looooooove hash browns.

No other option at the cantina I ate at.

Man I feel like I have a bunch of sister-wives where I have to constantly explain myself to various people. lol.

I get roasted at home, roasted on the internet. Just like nasty breakfast potatoes that aren’t hashed browns. FML

This is why I eat breakfast by myself.

On the road, for sure,

It’s like some cultural expectancy in Asia that everyone meets for breakfast and I just can’t handle a lot of social contact the first thing in the morning.

“Seat for one, please” is about 105% of the social effort I’m able to muster in the morning,

Same. There's about two coworkers I will share breakfast with.

My 2 Asia trips I did the first time around on the MD, I always marveled (albeit sadly) at the dozen+ 777 crew on Hour 3 at the breakfast buffet.

"Work, work, work, work, SQUADRON! Work, work, work, BLOCK OVER 8! Work, work, work, work, DRAFT!"

That is literally void of any type of interest for me.

I went down once, everyone was on their ipad watching football at a big round table talking shop.

On a spring day in Tokyo. Generally they'll arrive around 0700 and stay until 1030/closing

Next time you're in Osaka, your mission is to find a Kushiyaki restaurant and report back.
It might be a bit. I got my bid back to the MD. Hoping to to go training in June (we'll see in less than a week) and then 3 months of simulator bliss.

You guys must be so tired when you land in asia. Imagine when we land in PSP. Thats wild yall
I get what you’re saying and while you’re mostly right…PSP has Sherman’s Deli. Check it out, holla back and let me know what you think.
