Layover adventures

No no, that's a TATA, an Indian firm. Tatra is a Czech manufacturer who made unique looking automobiles (largely for Politburo officials) and trucks until the 90's, now they just make trucks. The Lane museum has at least 6 of them on display. It's why its one of my favorites, lots of unique automobiles of all nationalities.

Buffalo Naval Park

It's a pretty interesting way to kill a few hours, and on a Monday, I had the place nearly to myself. I didn't take a lot of pictures. The destroyer - The USS The Sullivans, was all right. The cruiser - USS Little Rock - was a little more interesting. The whole system they used to manage, assemble and guide the missiles on the track through the blast doors to the launcher on the fantail was pretty damned interesting/cool. The sub - USS Croaker, firmly reinforced my belief that I could never serve on a sub.

Tickets are $23 - it's an easy walk from downtown BUF or a cheap Uber. The docents are pretty knowledgeable. Worth the trip.
