Latest Delta Rumors

I'll drop either one a note anyway and see what's up.

Personally, it doesn't sound like it's a smart idea at all.

Flow agreements, guaranteed interviews...blah blah blah. There's no reason to complicate the obvious. The best thing for pilots is a process where no obligations are contractually required. The PCNL agreement is nothing more than an ALPA/DALPA PR mission that provides little real opportunity to the very pilots it promises to promote. The ASA guys still have a better path lol!

If Delta doesn't start to hire soon I'm going to take my own initiative and start flogging these ASA's geezers to a FAA medical-less pulp with rolled up AARP magazines.

Actually, you're right. If it's true that you have to "wait" until your number is called for an interview, in seniority fashion, it's almost more avantantageous to quit, go to ASA and apply from that angle. Well, probably.

I certinly would recommend sitting around waiting for my door to be knocked on in this business as things can change overnight and it'll just be yet another broken aviation promise.

You wouldn't believe the number of people running around insisting that this time is different though! They need people! They need US! Its going to work this time!

Even after the displacement bid? Impressive! :) I'll have some of the red... no no, any Purplesaurus Rex left?

I have a meeting with RA next week to setup a flow through agreement for refined freight dawgs turned corporate pilots. In returned for guaranteed interviews at Southern Jets we'll allow retiring captains to buy their own types and do our jobs past age 65.

He hasn't been around for a very very long time.

Unfortunately... Unless something has changed in the last couple months, not only is he around, but he is the manager of pilot hiring. I thought it was BB but now I'm not sure how he is involved.

Don't you fly jets now?

I thought once you added an autopilot, FADEC and a shirt that's been washed in the last week, you lose all of your pilot-to-pilot "street cred"? :)

It's a good idea to keep it that way.

I rarely go to ATL anymore, but last I heard they were gonna open up a Five Guys on C near the crew lounge. Guys should be dropping out from eating there real soon and movement will be on the horizon! That's my plan at least... :D
