Jet U ad in the Aug. 07 Flying

We got two here that washed out of 9E. One didn't make it through here either and the other... we'll I've heard some stories.

Funny that you saw that. If you do a little research you will find that the folks from GTA and JU have some things in common. TLC are the initials of the owner of GTA. You can learn more about the subjet by reading a bit more online.

LOL I actually know one guy on that list who wanted me to go with him for than program and two others who are going there in January of 08. I also knew the guy Charles both went to DCA then Aviator and finally to The U

Hmm, I think there may be another besides our favorite 754...I would be interested to hear how/why/what happened that eac person did not amke it through.

I guess us Beech pilots aren't real airline pilots. But then again, neither is the • that wrote that ad. 200kts cruise on the Beech? :laff: I'd like to tie this guy by the balls to the tail with a wind meter and tell me how fast the Beech cruises.

But the Beech does cruise at 200 knots... IAS.

So, according to the ad, the CRJ-200 cruises at 560 knots indicated. Impressive. That's about 900 knots TAS at 30,000 feet, by the way.

That ad is downright shameless. I second the email to Flying. I don't pay to see that crap in a two-page spread.

may be, but like it or not JetU does pay quite a bit for a full color 2 page ad. Flying magazine won't bat an eye.

WOW. This guys so full of himself he probably has to let his belt out a notch!

Okay...looked at his page. Not sure where I see how or why he is a tool or how exactly he is full of himself. He just seems happy to be a pilot, who is enjoying his job. I know...the horror!

But again, real mature of you guys to bring up his profile and call him names from behind the safety of your computers!

Then Plane & Pilot just picked up another subscriber. At least that way I only have to look at the shameless Cessna "reason number 464,271 - we name our planes with alliterations!" ads.

I agree. I know there are quality differences between schools but what a waste of time to write about how dumb someone is for making a decision different to what you would make.

I'd be curious to know whether the guys everyone seems to complain about have a higher rate of incidents/accidents or FAA infractions.

The ad is ridiculous - I agree with that. But it's marketing; their job is to make the product look good.

I definitely don't agree with either JetU or Gulfstream. But I think it is incredibly immature to post pics of people from their myspace and laugh at them.

Also, maybe I didn't look at their myspace profiles close enough, but I didn't exactly see any reference to them attending either Gulfstream of JetU. Again, I just thought this was different site than angrypilots.com over at flightinfo.

"Stay classy JC!"

I agree. The people that go to Jet U are not necessarily bad people, they were just mis informed when they began their pilot career. I don't think its right to hate them for this. Hell, as someone who knows nothing about becoming a pilot, the nice 2 page Jet U advertisements probably look pretty good.

I think instead of bashing the people that do programs like this we should try and educate new pilots as to why these programs are a waste of money and lower the bar for the profession etc etc. Bash Jet U not the pilots who went there.
