All of the Boing!s I've flown are the same, basically. It's not happening fast. Also, what is ETOCS? We don't have that on our not-a-spaceship.
Aroo?ETOCS-equipped 350s
Aroo?
Oh, ETOCs.
Instead of Flaps 0/1/2/3/Full
We have Flaps 0
We have Flaps 1A
We have Flaps 1B
We have Flaps 1C
We have Flaps 2A
We have Flaps 2B
We have Flaps 2C
We have Flaps 3
We have Flaps Full
1(a/b/c) and 2(a/b/c) are defined, only for takeoff, by your WDR uplink. No action required for the most part
Airbus to introduce A330neo takeoff performance enhancements
Continuing the A330neo’s evolution trend: From around Q4 2025, customers will be able to take delivery of an aircraft with even more operational performance and flexibility thanks to the next incremental package, referred to as “Step 4”.aircraft.airbus.com
(Technically, same deal for the 350)
UmmmThe RAT just gives hydraulic pressure to flight controls. Powers nothing else. A plane with manual reversion doesn't need a RAT.

*cries in guppy*I only have room for four flap-settings in my 1970s RAM. Catastrophic exception, reboot.
I was at my winery last night, which is called Eleven. Someone said “eleven, eleven” and I mumbled “eleven, takeoff.”What’s old is new and new is old!![]()
I always thought that there wasn’t enough finesse, and so on, for an airplane that size to just be 1-2-3-FULL.Oh, ETOCs.

I've actually heard of Bus pilots using Flaps 2 and slowing down to (whatever the speed threshold is that you get 1+F instead of just slats when retracting from 2 to 1) then going 1, so that they get 1+F in flight. A bit...unconventional....but I don't think it says anywhere that you can't.I always thought that there wasn’t enough finesse, and so on, for an airplane that size to just be 1-2-3-FULL.
(320) I also wish they’d let me select 1+F inflight during extension.
I mean at that point might as well just leave them at 2, I figure. That is quite unconventional.I've actually heard of Bus pilots using Flaps 2 and slowing down to (whatever the speed threshold is that you get 1+F instead of just slats when retracting from 2 to 1) then going 1, so that they get 1+F in flight. You guys talkin bout poppin flaps 40 for a second to get down and slow down, then back to 30 by the configuration gate? Did that happen somewhere?
Is that a position you guys just don't use? I rode on the jumpseat the other day on us and they used Flaps 10.Flaps 10......Flaps 10......FLAPS 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"uhhhh selected?"
