iPad people have Foreflight, what about us Android users?

lol. Its going to take more than the quality of Foreflight to get me to ever buy an ipad.

ForeFlight is why I have an iPhone too (in flight backup).

I was far from an Apple nut, wouldn't buy any of their products until I realized how powerful ForeFlight was. My wife thought I was kidding when I told her I wanted an iPad for my birthday.

Has anyone used FlightPro by AMS, on Android?
Yes, both now and when it was called Avilution. Dies the job pretty well. You should also take a look at the IFlyGPS app and the free Avare. I'm playing with all three to make a decision about a backup app on my android tablet.

Ah ok, I had a feeling it was renamed from something else. I never messed around with Avilution but I have recently tried Avare on my Note 3 and am impressed.

I have an iPad 2 and got it just for foreflight years ago but am contemplating getting an android tablet as my primary PC and can't decide if ANY of these are as polished as foreflight.

Unrelated, are any of these available on Windows OS, say for the surface 2?

None are as polished as ForeFlight at this point with the possible exception of IFlyGPS since it's based on a unit that was competing with the Garmin handhelds before the iPad existed.

There seems to be a lilt bit of a plateau being reached with the "mature" iPad apps so maybe we might see some catching up.

But for me for now, it's my full-size iPad and FF as primary EFB and my 7" Android with ??? as backup.

There's a new app out by Fltpln.com called "Fltplan Go" for Android.

Completely free. Moving maps, charts, location on approach plates.

I've been messing with it a little bit!

Still REALLY buggy. I would love to drop Flight Pro and not pay the $5 a month, but it's too unreliable at this point.

I use a Nexus 7 and Garmin Pilot combo and I love it. Not as polished as Foreflight, but it works well and is very accurate.
