iPad people have Foreflight, what about us Android users?

Is there a 'top' Android EFB/navigation app that stands out above the rest? What are the best Android full-featured nav/efb apps out there?

My subscription on Anywhere Map Freedom just expired and am wanting to find something a little more smooth in operation to switch to.

Garmin Pilot seems to be the best. They clearly don't put as much work into it as they do for the ipad version, but it works pretty well.

lol. Its going to take more than the quality of Foreflight to get me to ever buy an ipad.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, I'll look into those.
Ya...it was the fact that my iphone charger interchanges with the iPad that made me go with iPad ;)

My Droid charger charges my phone, my Kindle, and my tablet. GENERATIONS of them. Seems like with every ne iteration of an Iproduct, they change the charger. And they get a premium for their stuff, that does the same thing the other stuff does for far less money. I dunno, Iproducts and the ilk that sell them seem to just turn up their noses. They used to be superior, but the gap is now gone.

I was of that mentality for a while. But now that I went to the dark side with a iPhone 5s, I really understand why Apple is so popular. The phone is so much more seamless than an android phone.

I also don't want an ipad and already have an Android tablet. Problem is, unlike foreflight with the ipad, there doesn't seem to be any single Android app that has a unanimous "ZOMGZ THIS IS ALL YOU NEED" reaction. I used to have a lot of Apple products, don't like how they handle their accessories and how the products aren't capable to be customized like an Android which is simple to root. I'll take a free one, but wouldn't buy an ipad.

Take it from someone who held out. Just cave and get an iPad. Your life will improve measurably when you can just turn the thing on, download a bajillion apps for it, and have them "just work".

iPad 2 with a this keyboard case for $24 is badass for the road.

Used iPad 2's off eBay really aren't too pricey and the depreciation is, for the most part, mostly maxed out. If I can sell something for what I paid for it, I tell my wife it was basically "free". That's how I got my last "free" $700 welder.

Avilution is what I've used. My Flight instructor uses Garmin and has used SkyMap in the past.

They're all comparable.

I've had plenty of friends who bought an iPad only because they wanted to use foreflight. The tool is just that valuable to them. They had the chance to borrow it from someone to try it out for a trip, and that's all it took to sell them on it.

My android charger interfaces with my tablet, my laptop, my phone, my ps3, my car, and everything else with a USB port. You like apples? :D

Apple product's chargers interface with all those things too you know...?

At the end of the day, haters gonna hate. I think foreflight is the best in-flight touch screen tool out there. It really is as great as people say it is...

The point is that you have to rely on having one of these special doodads with you:

So does an iphone charger. Or any other charger with a USB plug!

Actually...apple only changed the charger once. There are officially two (2) different plugs for apple products and approximately 10+ generations of products!

Apple only plays well with Apple. Everything else plays well together. There is very few apps that are free through Apple. Go hit up a Google play store and see what you can get there.
