How did u build time?

I have a "friend" (13 years old mind you) who logs all of her time as an airline passenger...

I wonder what her first CFI is going to think when he sees that she has 200 hours of 121 time already. :laff:

A lot of people "log" it and have the captain sign the logbook, usually Euro airplane fanboys, but I've seen that before.

BUT, I presume they have enough sense not to try to walk into a flight school and claim experience towards their XC requirements.

Labquest has mitsis? I've talked to the dude flying the baron into/out of MEM...seems pretty happy. Nice looking plane, too, almost too nice to be freight...

hmmmmm.

Wait...what? Coherent English. Use it foo.

Labquest is pretty legit. They own the blood and such, therefore not common carriage. Case closed.

...and the boyfriend comes to save the day! What a hero! Thanks foo da kind words and closing the case. I now understand with the help of one other from above!

I know Roger, Roger. Don't worry, he doesn't have a girlfriend ;) . But he is right. It's perfectly legal to operate under 91 if the stuff you're hauling is your own stuff. No different than dragging around a bunch of suits that are on the same payroll, except one imagines the blood samples don't mind a 4000fpm descent to get there faster. It's pretty black and white, read the regs.

Roger, Roger is not my boyfriend. Pay a little more attention to other threads and you might figure out who it is.

Boris, thank you for helping me out. I guess he doesn't realize that you can do things part 91 and be paid for it.

....or flying right seat in a caravan..... I'd recommend it over CFIing.
Having done the right seat Caravan thing (250 hours) I can tell you that it is a possibility but not one that I currently recommend. The only place in the states that you're going to be able to do it is in Alaska, and only two operators that I know of. I think there's Pacific Wings as well, but PM RPJ before you go that route....
I'm logging that.
Now you can finally get some PIC time.... :D

There's also Part 125 which regulates private carriage in aircraft over 20 pax or 6,000 pounds of cargo.

To answer the OP's original question, I did the Caravan FO thing for a while then worked for a Pictometry contractor for a season. I would HIGHLY recommend the picto gig over the Caravan deal. If you don't know what that is do a search, lots of info out there.

Currently I guess you could say I'm still building time as I'm flying Cherokee 6's in SE Alaska.
