One comment to two different posts: Are you kidding me?

"I'm sorry Mr. NASCAR, but if I'm goin ABOVE the posted speed limit, I have every right to be in the left lane. Now, if you give a few moments to pass the truck in the next lane, I might be generous enough to move over so you can break the law, but don't think that because you nearly rear-end me and flash your lights, you get to do as you please."

Man, I encourage everyone to set the cruise control at 3-5 mph below the speed limit, mosey on over to the right hand lane, and turn on the cruise control. Do you realize how much easier interstate driving is when everyone has to weave around you instead of you having to worry about passing everyone? Makes for a much more stress free drive, and you can really brush tailgaters off in good conscience, since it's not your responsibility to be an accomplice to their law-breaking behavior!

Both of those attitudes are completely without regard to anyone but yourself. It is this selfish attitude that spurs on road rage and encourages others to act selfishly on the interstate. Taking this "holier than thou" approach to life, speaking in terms of "those law breakers" and "I have every right to be here in the left lane" are simply selfish responses that are equal to the offensive behaviour of the guy behind you with the lights flashing. Who hired you to police the highways? I'll bet your the guy in that Cessna over there who parks in the middle of taxi/hold short area blocking access to to the runway while you do your runup. Are you the pilot flies the pattern in ways completely oblivious to those around you, making radio calls when they are convenient?
Courtesy please, the world is only getting more crowded.
Oh, and I can't resist on this one: Do I need my degree to get hired by a major?
