Hiring tracking (opposite of furlough tracking)

Possible Subversive
So, I thought this might be less depressing than the furlough thread. This thread is to report hirings, not necessarily job openings. Not sure if this is the proper forum but it is the same one with the furlough thread.

Uh, so I'll start off. This month Martinaire hired 2 pilots. One for Columbia, SC and the other for Raleigh, NC.

Left out AirTran, but it looks like they've already closed off the hiring window on the application.

There's a nasty rumor on another board that the only reason the window was opened was for poolies to update their stuff. They said that if anyone else submitted an app, it would be thrown out. I submitted one. I hope that's not entirely true. ATN_Pilot?

Currently finishing up training for Cape Air as a PIC/FO (135 mins). A new class of FOs also just started this week, all going out to STL for the AA codeshare flying requiring 2 pilot crews. Not sure if there are any more classes scheduled at the moment, and I believe there are some people in a pool waiting for a Capt class (ATP mins) but they seem to be always taking apps/resumes.

Not sure I buy into that. They were calling poolies for class dates before they opened the window. I got my app in as well, so I'm hoping it doesn't get tossed.

Double not buying it now. I was able to go back and check/edit/update my application even though the posting is no longer up. Seems as long as you get it in during the window, it's in, but you still have access to update it. No reason the poolies couldn't have been updating their apps the whole time.

Looking at the list you posted (great info, btw), it makes me very sad to see what scope erosion has done to our industry.

Are they seriously requiring 2 pilot crews out there? They already have all the nice GPS kicker birds out there, and now they're running 2-crew? Jeez.

I did RUT-BOS all summer with /A airplanes, single-pilot 99% of the time, uphill both ways in the snow...somehow. And you didn't see me whining!

...okay, I whined. A lot. :D

Yea I believe it's AA that's requiring the 2 pilot crews, starting sometime in April or whenever the codeshare officially begins.

I was hired 12/4 at USA Jet, 1 of 3 new DA-20 f/o's(headed to DFW next week for the sim). At least 3 furloughed NJA pilots (former DA-20 CA's) are back. About 2 dozen DC-9 new hires as well. Not huge numbers, but for a small airline with 8 pilots a year ago, things are definitely on the upswing here.
