I HAVE STRONG OPINIONS ABOUT AUTOMOTIVE LIGHTING!
Piddle packs and a rope tied around each pilots' waist.Wonder what knee jerk new policies will be imposed upon us after this mess.

Guys, we DON'T PUT PEE IN THE FLIGHT DECK!
The MPL-Licensed "Cruise-F/O" was playing with some of the knobs they told him not to touch?
Invent it, and you'd make a killing!I always said that an external unlocking mechanism should be build in the cockpit doors independent from the main lock itself just like the door buzzers. The portion of the frame where the lock engages can be retracted remotely if needed (ops, SAT signal) with local on board backup. A stringent protocol would be required to have access to the unlocking procedure. In this case however it could have made it worse if a fight erupted, but in the case of LAM (Suicidal FO in Namibia E-Jet last month) it could have saved many lifes, so the usage would have to be selective. Just my 2c
You are like a drunken Nostradamus.Well see so basically I was right all along. Never second guess yourself.
There is nothing to invent, it already exists. Just have to be implemented, certification bureaucracy etc etc...Invent it, and you'd make a killing!
Don't laugh, back in the days (long long ago.....) when I was flying Aerial surveys we had long missions sometimes 4~5 Hours in small cramped, noisy, leaking cold air 310HA!

you should see the reaction. we got reprimanded after a few urine spills in the lab.Didn't you read and understand the post ? you implement a security protocol where no single person can open the door, like the ICBM launching codes, for example the unlocking sequence would require OPS, the FA(s), the Captain and FO to concur or a combination of thereof. That's not complicated.Wasn't there a JetBlue pilot who went coo-coo and got locked out by his FO? Having an external unlocking mechanism would have been a bad idea then.
