Nah, I know guys hired in 2007 who didn't have a degree and a DUI in their past at a legacy.
Also, threads like these are EXTREMELY dangerous. Yes, not going to Canada is an issue, but a bigger issue now is the fact that while his attorney told him to not blow, the FAA views that as a positive and you were drunk driving. The poster needs to call these folks first thing Monday morning...

Then he needs to sprint to an aviation attorney ask the AMAS folks if they can recommend someone that can work with him and this and any criminal charges.
