What is your alternative? If you have a viable alternative I guess I might agree. Right now this is the best thing we have.It is so outdated and needs to be gotten rid of.

We can all say those things. What exactly don't you like about the RLA?Maybe I should have said "replaced" instead of "gotten rid of".

Apples vs. Pecans. So crazy. I grew up with my dad in more or less a construction type field. If there wasn't a new contract on the day it expired, no one showed up for work that day.
Mmm that's a tasty mix in a salad!Apples vs. Pecans.
And Jello, right @scooter2525?Mmm that's a tasty mix in a salad!
Throw a little pineapple and baby you got a stew going! (Arrested development reference. Add it to the list)And Jello, right @scooter2525?
I see that Hawaiian is currently interviewing and giving people class dates. What is the status of new hires and those on probation? If a strike occurred what would happen to those in class or with less than 1 year of service?
Very short sighted. There is much more to the RLA then having to be released in order to strike.I'll wade into the discussion for educational purposes. But I thought that we as airline pilots, would want the RLA to be removed, for labor purposes. So that we could strike easier, something akin to how easy that they do it in France.

To further educate myself, and others, could you expound on what more the RLA brings to the conversation? Thanks.
