From my limited understanding NWA didn't think that they would release the pilots and were banking on a PEB. While unlikely today and I personally highly doubt it, you never know.
 
What's the status of our interisland Pilots with this? I was told it's considered EAS so they wouldn't be allowed to participate..

You ever notice that whenever an ALPA group has a vote, the result is always "overwhelming"?

Someone needs to get their spokesperson a thesaurus.
 
Out of pure curiosity, how long have negotiations been ongoing at HAL? How many years did it take to reach this point?

This. Airline labor in general is doing a poor job of convincing the American public that a disruption of America's air transport system is worth it. The public would view a SWA or UPS strike with almost the same animosity as a professional sports strike. Good luck getting released... I don't see it happening.
