. The real question is "why don't you go find a 4 seat airplane that best matches cost to demand?" Even on the "more efficient" month, load factor was 45%. The majors are intolerant of anything below 90%.
135 regs dictates the type of aircraft that can be used. 121 is even more restrictive
If they start selling those 1900's someone PM me, I'd really like one for personal use. No I don't have the money right now, but I can write you a check.
Good grief, at least pick something that they made more than 800 of and hasn't been out of production for 30 years.207s! ^.^
That's better. Though you need moar horsepower unless you want to lose a plane load of EAS pax every couple years in an icing related crash.Or, um ... *Coughs into paw* Caravans. ;p

Roger Roger said (in part):
GLA's only fatal was a runway collision at a non-towered airport in Quincy, IL in 1996. A GLA 1900-C was landing, and a King Air was taking off on an intersecting runway. NTSB blamed the King Air; loss of life was due to fire (which led to new ARFF requirements for small airports with scheduled passenger service) and no one being able to open the door and escape from the Beech. No icing involved.
Just confirmed the rumors with a GLA CA...pay raises across the board.
$32/hr for 1900 p135 CA
$21-22/hr for p135 FO

That captain pay is extremely low.How does that rank with other regionals?

XJT didn't pay during training....3 months.....eightballfreight said:Wow, 27.50 to start for ATP FOs. That is aggressive, but the lack of pay during training still shows they aren't that serious. Who can go a month or two on zero dollars.
