Great Lakes to rise from the ashes?

. The real question is "why don't you go find a 4 seat airplane that best matches cost to demand?" Even on the "more efficient" month, load factor was 45%. The majors are intolerant of anything below 90%.

135 regs dictates the type of aircraft that can be used. 121 is even more restrictive

Good grief, at least pick something that they made more than 800 of and hasn't been out of production for 30 years.

They made 695 of those sturdy little critters (Cs and Ds) over a 20 year production run ending in 2002. Only the Czech LET 410 series has more, 1,138 over a 42 year time span, and you can still get a new one. Fewer BAE Jetstreams, Metroliners, Bandierantes, etc. The market for that size aircraft is only just so big, even adding together PAX, freight, checks, military variants, and including Pet Airways and their pawsengers.

GLA's only fatal was a runway collision at a non-towered airport in Quincy, IL in 1996. A GLA 1900-C was landing, and a King Air was taking off on an intersecting runway. NTSB blamed the King Air; loss of life was due to fire (which led to new ARFF requirements for small airports with scheduled passenger service) and no one being able to open the door and escape from the Beech. No icing involved.

He was talking about C207As and C208A/Bs, not the BE-1900C/D.

Wow, 27.50 to start for ATP FOs. That is aggressive, but the lack of pay during training still shows they aren't that serious. Who can go a month or two on zero dollars.

First year FO at and "industry leading" regional and i could jump ship to Lakes and get a raise?!?

Is this real life

yes, I know the rest of the pay and qol is crap, just commenting on the absurdity of it all
