Not really, he said "...However, Air Traffic has requested that we not place any more new hires going to LVK until after October. I have sent them a list with your name on it so that they may propose a start date. Once I hear from them, I will contact you with a proposed date."
You're right, it sounds like someone else assigns the start date... who knows.
I get to join the "waiting for class date" club.

Lalexf you may want to try the schmooze approach. Kindly state your case saying you are displaced and will take the soonest available class, even if someone drops out or moves there date. I kindly asked for the soonest available and got 9/8 just last week

I did send an email in response to DTs last week stating just that. Did you call? Honestly I think it's because of my facility. Everyone that's getting them seems to be going to larger facilities that are probably understaffed. I'll try calling if you think that might help. I just don't want to be overly obnoxious and get pushed back because of it. I also don't really understand, Who is assigning us in the classes. Is it HR or someone else.....

I sent an email and then about an hour after I sent it he offered 9/8. It very well could be your actual facility. But if that is the case it sucks that people who got into the process after you are getting in before. I think DT selects your actual date, he just has to have the go ahead from air traffics to do it. So it is still possible that you could get into a class sooner than oct.
If he gives you a class date in the next couple weeks for oct/nov i would ask if there are any openings sooner in your nicest lady like voice lol

It really sounds like it's out of DT's hands right now... just have to sit and be patient.
I don't mind getting pushed back a little. Either I want to start NOW, or mid-December to January. :drool: I just changed my schedule at work to on-call 24/7... try to make as much money now as possible

That didn't happen. I am actually waiting patiently and have been since last summer. It just gets harder when you see everyone else getting thier FOL and kowing that they applied 8 months after you did. Ah that's life...It's a bitch.

Another country fan???? They are my favorite and the CD came out the day I found out I wasn't getting my FOL ANYTIME soon. It seemed appropriate!!

David T. just emailed me today!!! But no sign of a class date...he really didn't even say if all of my clearances are done.
He did say "Last week I forwarded your name on a list to Air Traffic so that they can decide when they will be ready for you to begin training."
So am I suppose to just assume that means that I am cleared and all I need is a date? Well anyways I'm super excited to hear back from David T. woot woot!

BTW, are you that gal that was there at NY PEPC on the 9th, going to Stockton? I might remember seeing you at the chairs...waiting for our various medical things. You had no idea where stockton is :crazy: (I was an asian looking guy in black suit, blue shirt)

I dont think it has anything to do with facility staffing because I am heading for ZNY where they are getting 60 new ATC'ers in the FY09. So basically they are waiting for dates when they are going to be accepting us ARTCC's. My HR rep did say she would have info for me within 2 weeks so we shall see.

My husband just finished his PEPC and also got the geo preference email. Been told by a few people you can submit the geo preference but it won't make a difference cause you have a TOL for a certain location already. Just what I heard though so not positive!

Lalexf- you do know VGT is in the top 10 for runway incursions. I did my CFI's out of there, in two weeks we had 5 RI's. It would bee fun, it's the only GA airport I have been to that reminds me of being at LGA, while on the ground. Good luck on a class date!

LoL i think i met her too on the 9th. Didnt she get randomly put in stockton when she didnt even ask for california. :buck:
But anyways i think you guys are right. Maybe they squeezed me in because I am going to a bigger airport. I just hope i am not getting in over my head and it doesnt turn out bad like Oakland center workers.

She went to the LAPEPC i believe anyway got my FOL e-mail today with the 20 pages of paperwork. I called Charlene Sade and she went through her computer and put me in the Oct 21st class so i dont know what davids talking about that hes forwarding to air traffic or whatever.
