Well not just got it got it during the daytime. Didnt check my emails since I was at a wedding. Yeah it is kinda strange that they sent it on a Saturday though. Guess they work weekends lol. It basically was just a a forwarded email with my Paperwork to fill out and a pdf file similar to the TOL but saying when I really start and some additional information on housing and what to expect and do.
I emailed back to see if I should expect a hardcopy of this in the email havent gotten a response back yet obviously though

It's possible they put the emails on the "send at a later time" function. You put the time you want it to go and push send. The email hang around until that time and then is sent. That is in more complex email systems though and I am not sure what the FAA has.

Terminal at San Francisco.
My initial date at OKC at NY PEPC was 8/26
Still waiting for a reply to see if they going to send a hardcopy of the FOL in the mail.

Nope, no response yet...
yea livermore ain't bad (they've got two parallel runways with an ILS approach, small cozy tower, and lots of vfr traffic on the weekend), but sfo is where i'd like to be:drool:
i always like watching those jets land on the 28s and intersecting takeoffs on the 1s

Hey have you decided where you're going to live yet? I know one of the controllers at LVK is transferring to SFO, so it could happen to you

Not sure yet. My parents live in Sunnyvale, so I could commute from there until I get a raise. I might also find a room for rent on craigslist, but 1br apartments are too expensive. (I currently share an apartment near Berkeley, but the lease is ending next month.)

I actually turned down SFO for SNA(John Wayne) for two reasons. Cost factor, and SNA closes overnight do to noise restrictions.

Hey guys I am not sure if this has been answered in another thread but has anyone applied for multiple announcements and started receiving things for their second announcement? For example I attended the PEPC in NY on July 7th and received a TOL for ZID, and now am waiting for my FOL. However, while I was waiting through this whole process I wanted to give myself better odds of being picked up so I applied for the announcement that closed on 5/2 as well, PUB...2.
I received an e-mail today asking for my geo preferences for the 2nd announcement. Should I put the same ones as before or should I put new preferences down? I grew up in Indy and am excited to go back there but I also wouldn't mind taking a shot at somewhere in FL, AZ, or CO.
My fear is that I don't want to run the risk of getting stuck in a place like Miami center, (have heard bad things) and then be forced to go there in my FOL because I put FL in my geo preferences for my 2nd announcement. Do the announcements overlap or are they completely independent of one another? Thanks ahead of time! Good luck to all.

I am an 07 applicant so it wasn't from a national posting. Hr rep sent me an email asking me to indicate which one I preferred so when I went to the LA PEPC I already knew where I was going

That is still really strange. Ive emailed him about everyday last week reply to emails he has sent me. He always responds by the next day and sometimes even the same day. The emails are definitely not automated either.
I know I tried calling him on the phone long ago before I went to the PEPC and I left a voicemail but he never returned my message. Either your email isn't getting to him or something is really strange and he is overlooking your emails
