flying nightmares

I have dreams that I'm hired at an airline....except I never do get to finish any of my flight training and I'm still a student pilot. I worry that people will find out that I'm a fraud and I'll get in trouble, but then my captain shows up and he's always even more incompetent then me so I feel relieved.

Sometimes I have this dream that I'm on this rainy, windswept prairie or plain and there's this huge, huge tower similar to the Eiffel Tower but really ugly and scary looking. It has this huge orange flag on it flapping in the wind. Then it starts to fall on me and I can't move anywhere before it crushes me. Yuuuuuuup definitely paging Freud on that one! :buck::laff:

Boy, did I have a cheesy one last night. I was a F/O of a Lear jet and the captain was Tom Cruise! He was training me and I couldn't stop thinking, "what a dud" I didn't learn anything because of this interference. We never made it off the ramp and then the dream just ended and I started a new one about someone breaking into my house.

My most recurrent aviation related dream is watching an aircraft crash from the ground.....no common theme or aircraft, but I have had that one a number of times.

Also had one a long way back when I was still in civilian flight school about our chief pilot sending me into combat in a Cessna 206. His words of advice were "keep your speed up" lol. I ended up literally flying through trees and underwater at one point to evade small arms fire....I think I woke up fairly quickly from that one.

Don't worry you aren't alone on that. I had that dream that I had to show up for a final exam to a class I had skipped the entire semester. I've been out of college for 9 years now. Damn I feel old now...
I too have this deam. Always one of those epic dreams where i dream about the entire semester. Everything goes fine in all of my classes and I am a social aristocrat, but I always remember that one class i forgot to go to all semester. Always a math class too.

As far as airplane dreams, it's usualy me trying to fly an airplane that just won't fly right. It will move forward but not up. Ever. Sort of the same with motorcycles...i get on them and still have to peddal.
