flight attendents

I was talking with a former fa for a legacy. She said there's constant sleeping around even for those who are married. Maybe that's why the high divorce rate. It was funny how she mentioned that some male FAs get many "requests" from pilots on the layovers, and they weren't from female pilots.:D
I'm thinking that "former fa for a legacy" likes to tell stories...the bigger the better.

:whatever:

Isn't there some sort of currency too? You can't serve as a flight attendant unless you have hooked up with at least 3 pilots in the last 90 days? I think it even has to be to a full stop.
if that was the case, you wouldn't hear so much "There's NO WAY i'd date a pilot" or even the good ol' "I can't STAND pilots"...haha

I've heard that recently as well Kristie!

Funny, I'm a former F/A for a legacy, and that was not the way it was when/where I was.

Hey, I can only speak from my own and my husband's experience. Between us, we have 20 years of airline flying, at 5 different airlines. 3 Legacy, 1 Large regional and 1 Small 121 outfit. Just passing along our experiences :)

See, this is a good argument for single-pilot freight. Because you can only sexually harass...

...yourself.

:D

I've done that . . .

Hey - it's lonely over The Everglades at 0200!

And over Missouri at 2245 . . .

And over Northern Georgia at 2115 . . .

And over Central Kentucky at 0710 . . .

Well, you guys get the point.

:D:D:D

remind me to hand out some purell to the freight dogs that attend NJC! HAHA :p:panic:

If you get involved with someone at work, you are opening yourself up to a BIG can of worms that can really come back to bite you in the rear.

It happens from time to time and it works out nicely, but I am glad my girlfriend does NOT work at my company or in aviation.

Yeah, something about not dipping your pen in the company ink.

You'll find F/As with advanced degrees and a great deal of education, and you'll find F/As who never even went to college. All sorts of backgrounds, life situations, etc, are represented.

Wait a minute -- I thought a college degree was required for most airlines?

And I'm still amazed that anyone thinks airlines are different than any other workplace. Hell, it might be EASIER to get together with someone at an airline than a typical workplace. I mean, if you get in a fight or something, you probably aren't going to be flying with your significant other.

On the other hand, if you have a more typical job and you're dating someone and you get in a fight, well, you're probably going to see each other the next day after the fight. And I'm sure EVERYONE will know.

But the bottom line is any time you combine men and women, sometimes there will be a spark. Sometimes, it will be acted on. And it doesn't matter what your job is, that's just the way it is.

Hot people hook up with hot people in all sorts of careers.

If you're not hot, a pilot's license doesn't substitute. Sorry! :)

TGI Fridays, that's where the action is at.

Besides, it's a little cheesy! :)

While I was in college, I watched a guy use the "Hey baby, I'm a pilot" line on Mill Avenue in Tempe.

"And uh... I'm a pilot"

"Yeah? What are you flying?"

"I'm ahhh, in FA205... Working on my commercial"

"Really? My boyfriend is a student too."

"I'm not a student pilot, I already have my private"

"Neither is he, he's doing fighter lead-in training over at Luke in the Viper..."

Nope. It's a good thing to have, of course, but as far as requirements a H.S. diploma/GED is required. Some airlines want to see two years of college or equivilent customer service experience, but most are far more interested in your working background in customer service than a college degree.
