Fatigue Selfies!

I'll have to do this before and after a push. It'll go something like

On their feeder aircraft or jets as well?

As far as I know its just the feeders. Big FedEx has a union that fought against the cameras successfully. We are already getting legal threats for even touching the cameras.

The cameras are 100 percent not on the mainline FedEx aircraft. They are not on our ATR aircraft either.

The system is called the Apareo Vision 1000 or something like that. If you go to the manufacturer's website there is a pretty good (disgusting) description of what it does.

Pretty sure the lenses on these things will magically become smudged.....or otherwise. Nobody wants these things in the aircraft.

We aren't FedEx. We are low cost contractor garbage with no union. It always makes me chuckle when I hear a fellow MAC employee saying to some schmuck on the elevator that he works for FedEx.

Lol. No, you dont. Look at the name onbyour paycheck. It isn't FedEx.

True, but no one knows Empire, other than Star Wars and that takes the conversation in a weird direction given the fan in me. So when I say I fly FedEx freight they all seem to get it. The freight is FedEx, the plane says FedEx in big purple and orange letters on the side. And the plane is owned by FedEx. I even have a FedEx ID. Just becuase I’m a contractor paid by a different company it’s just easier to say I fly FedEx freight and let them work out the rest. I did the same when I was in IT at the end of the day Nextel/Sprint/MCI/BT/etc paid my salary and assigned work. That it got routed through a couple of other companies isn’t an issue.

It’s kinda like the, do you ever want to be a commercial pilot conversation?

To be fair, the feeder aircraft do belong to fedex and I would imagine it’s daddy purple that’s paying to put them in.

I definitely get all that, but technically it still isn't FedEx. Also, you have a FedEx vendor ID......not a FedEx employee ID. I know because I have one too. Looks very similar to the actual ID for real FedEx employees too.

Not trying to bust your chops man, seriously.....just being accurate. :)

Yep I get it. But I am not telling people I work for FedEx just that I fly FedEx freight.

Back in my IT days nearly all the jobs I had were through consulting companies. Worked the same way. I worked for company A which was under contract by company B. Company B owned all the equipment I worked on, gave me a employee badge that looked the same as a normal employee but it said contractor on it. Company B told me when and where I showed up and I had a boss I reported to at company B. Yet my paycheck said company A on it. That was my only involvement with company A.

Same thing at FedEx. Especially after I got in trouble for not being willing to illegally take off into heavy icing with ceilings below mins at my destination and not forecasted. When I told Douchebag station manager it was literally illegal for me to take off and the company didn't back me letting FedEx take operational control then yeah I work directly for FedEx apparently.

Does this mean Republic Airline will be your first choice now that you're considering 121?

LOL, funny enough.......it was one of the reasons I went with my current company. Solo did fly for the Empire when he first started.
