I got the call this morning, figured since its on the news i could go ahead and post it. The survivor is my boss, the deceased is someone who we knew that my boss was training.

Things are pretty glum around here right now. Please save speculation. Its a pretty big deal, and you'll know what im talking about when the details come out, but until then, please have respect for the deceased.

RIP Fallen.

Thanks,

Cory.

Sorry to hear that. I know how it feels. My last company we lost out DO and new hire on a check ride.

RIP.

The first thing I thought of was I hoped it wasn't you. Glad you're safe but sorry for the loss.

Thanks. guess i havent really known what to think. It very personal since i knew both of them, and this is our fist fatal in our entire 50 year history. We've always prided ourself on our safety record, and this is like a kick in the groin on top of the loss of an aviator.

F'N Sheet.

Sorry to hear about this man. We'll stay tuned and around if you need anyone to chat with.

Sorry for everyone's loss on this. We had our first serious accident involving one of our Assistant Chiefs a few months back. It was a bad one. I understand how you guys and gals must feel. My thoughts and prayers go out to the members of your company, family and friends.. God bless..

Sorry to hear about your boss Cmill, thankfully he survived.

The other aviator that's no longer with us is from my neck of the woods, Cumming, Georgia.

RIP :(

I wanna thank everyone for the support. The calls, posts, PMs, and IMs mean a lot to me. Even though we had all just met, the guy, it feels like we lost a family member around here. I'm really dreading going in monday.

The guy that died was a federal agent from the department off the interior. Basically, without getting into too much, they were in a straight float 180, it flipped, my boss got out, went around to grab the guy, but couldnt get to him immediately. By the time he was pulled out of the plane, he had already drowned.

The really crappy thing is, everyone that goes through our seaplane safety course goes through under water egress training, but since the guy was crunched for time, and just doing an add on, he didnt go.

Thanks again everyone.

So sorry this happened to your crew up there...it's tough when it happens close to home like this.
tailwinds to the fallen...
