Family Airlines

Avatar Airlines? Will they use airbending for propulsion instead of burning fuel? Maybe that's how they will be able to offer their 50% lower fares than existing airlines:

Best deal since Gulfstream. And you'd get to fly a shiny 747, not just a Beech 1900! :sarcasm:

If you can't afford the $5,000 for a captain interview or $3,500 for a FO interview, you can still get an hour in the 747 simulator by investing (donating?) $2,500:

Fly the 747 Simulator – $2,500
"Experience an hour ride in a 747-400 simulator with your own personal instructor. Whether it’s your first time on the flight deck, or you’re an experienced simulator pilot, perfect your skills with a series of take-offs and landings, or fly from one city to another. You'll also receive a photo and a signed flight certificate."
Oh great! Now I know what I can do when I retire!!! I can sit in a 747 SIM, take photos with donors, let them wear my hat, let them flip a few switches and give them some little plastic wings. Wait a minute......flashback...........seems similar/familiar to what I used to do for a living. Cool! How much of that $2,500 do I get??

Oh Dear. This "Plan" is only about 25 years too late. Might have found a few jack wagons back then. I can't even imagine making a percentage on the work involved to come up with the web site.

Considering that even their CFO is unpaid, probably none. But just think, you'd be a "Visionary" volunteering for the noble cause of launching Avatar Airlines!!! You should be happy to do it for free!

Or screw that! Wait another minute.......another flashback.......I think I heard that speech before back when UAL made us all "employee owners". That worked out really well for us. lol

" Avatar plans on having several other profit centers which will generate additional revenue through its strategic partners rather than from its own passengers."

Sounds like they will be delivering powdered sugar to their grandmother in Miami from their long lost Aunt in Bogota....

I just can't imagine someone paying 5 grand to talk to these folks. ?? Did they even get one? Just so pathetically stupid. If they even got one, I would love to read about their experience. Followed shortly by their intelligence assessment.

For $1,000 you get your name on a donor tree like they're a non-profit organization:

"Visionary Tree of Life – $1,000
Avatar will display a larger bronze Visionary Tree in a prominent place in main lobby of its headquarters for all to see. The tree will display the names of those who agreed with Avatar's vision and helped make airline history by being among the first to support this airline for the people. Each bronze leaf will have a name inscribed upon it which can be your own, or an individual you would like to memorialize."

I dunno all sounds like your business plan for Avatar Airlines reeks of Unattainium.

Also if Family/Avatar/Scam airlines was really serious about their PFT program they would be promising a 250TT A380 gig.

"There is one born every minute"

The intelligence assessment is directly related to the 'candidate's check clearing.

The funny part is I do know people who would drop Two-stack-five-hundo to fly the 744 sim for an hour. But, I won't tell them about this, because I have a feeling the sim session date may be "pushed back indefinitely" by these sneaky snakes.

Of course!

"We have a delay, but when we are able to clear the backlog, we're offering an expedited scheduling for an attractively priced $3,000 fee"

I looked up the address and it seems to be a unit at a self storage facility.

Odd.

I dropped nine-hundo bid for the AOPA auction for Alaska Airline's 737 sim for one hour. Just for the fun of it and it goes to a good cause. I was outbid and it closed (sold) for one-stack-eight-hundo.

Ditto for the United Airlines sim in Denver for two hour sim plus tour of the United training facility, I dropped one stack. It ended up selling for one stack five fiddy. Again just for the hell of it and to see/learn something new.

Methinks you've been watching "Blackish" trying to relate. That show is synthetic.
