NW did similar. Back in 2002-2003 they were planning on US going out of business and making PHL a 757 base with point to point yurop flights.

I have my "EEE Are-RUH"/crew break sweater on over my uniform.

Jumpseating captain: "What are you on?"

Me: "Oh, the 320. You?"

Him: "717. But don't worry son, one of these days you'll upgrade"

Me: "One day I guess"

Being the tallest member of the crew on average, along with wearing a hat, means you get called "captain" a bunch by folks who can't count.
