Congrats!! I have my interview on Thursday. Is it as bad as Im making it out to be? How many went home? How long before they said it would take for your review board, then medical?

The interview was not nearly as bad as I had made it out to be. I was way over prepared, which is good. One tip, if the sim guy comes in and asks for any volunteers to go first, be that guy! I was first in the sim and it was SUPER easy. Getting that part out of the way completely relaxed me for the rest of the day, as well.

There were six total in the group, no one got ushered out right away for paperwork. Experience levels were: 3 CFI's, me included, an Ameriflight pilot from Seattle, an Air Force guy that fly’s metros out of TUS, and a guy that fly’s caravans in Atlanta for Pacific Wings. 4 of us got the conditional offer at the end of the day. A CFI from Cali, the Air Force guy, the Amflight girl, and I all made it through.

During the welcome speech in the morning, they said to expect a class within 4-6 weeks. The review board happens the Friday after all of your paperwork arrives. I showed up with my NDR, national driving record, in hand but they could not accept it from me. It has to come addressed to Eagle from Washington. This along with the FAA background stuff is what takes the longest to arrive, apparently.

A friend of mine had his medical the Wednesday after his review board, and class two weeks after that.

Everyone there did a great job of creating a welcoming atmosphere and putting us at ease.

Congrats.

Has anyone got a call yet? Will it be this Friday or next does anyone know?
Interviewed early this month and got the good news call today. I wasn't expecting anything until at least next week, especially with everything being slowed down because of WX. So I was pretty surprised when I checked my voicemail. I think having all my paperwork ready to go at the interview helped out a bunch.

Anyone else get a call today?

What day did you interview?

Feb 1st. FWIW, I know of one other person who interviewed a week or so prior to me who also got a call on Friday.

Congrats on the call! I interviewed on Feb. 3rd, so maybe next Friday. Unless some other Feb 3rd guys got the call, then I can start stressing. From what I understand it use to be anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks for the review board. You got your call in 10 days which is awsome. I think its going faster now because of the amount of new hires they have coming in.

I also got the call on Friday. Interviewed on Jan 31. My medical is scheduled for Feb 22nd and I'm going to try for the 28th class date.

I interviewed Feb. 2nd. My current employer didn't sent their fax in until this past Friday so that probably delayed things for me.

That same thing happened to me. My old flight school sent the fax back the second day he got it, or he said he did. I got a call from recruiting 2 weeks later saying they were missing something from them. I went to the airport and asked what the deal was. Come to find out, he totally butchered the fax number. Not only once, but several times!

It just goes to show that people don't care about things unless it directly benefits them.

Got the call today! I never got the call for the medical today thought. He said congrats you passed the Cpt. Board we will contact you later to schedule your medical. Man this is the never ending process.

Congrats! Seeing as how I received a call yesterday from recruiting asking about one fax they were missing I thought I would be going through the review board today. Apparently they never received the fax from my current employer when they originally sent it in. I confirmed recruiting received it this time and really thought I would hear something today.

By 3pm I called just to ask if there were any updates. The new lady at recruiting looked at the list and told me that I didn't go into the review board today for whatever reason. She is going to verify they have everything they need, and if so I guess it will be next Friday.

So yes...this is a never ending process. I interviewed one day before you...and I'm still waiting. Would love to know why I didn't go into the review board today but as long as everything works out in the end I'm happy. Another week of waiting is going to be horrible though.

Got the medical coming up this week. Is there some sort of a dress code above and beyond business casual (slacks/button down)?
