Drinking Age on Airplane?

First off, I think you mean: http://www.alcoholics-anonymous.org

I find it a tad suspicious that you new the website, and even the "-", but you typed it wrong. Some-body's a member of AA? If so, I'm just an A away, as I am a member of AAA!

Ummmm no. But my mother has a degree in education and psychology. She did some counciling before teaching. And AA is pretty common knowledge!

I know, I was just bustin' your chaps (what ever that means). But I really didn't know what the website was, I'd assume they'd chose something easy like AA.org. I know aa.com is American Airlines...I wounder if people seeking help accidentally call American airlines reservations? Be kinda funny.

*edit, just tried it, www.aa.org is also their website.

Just a friendly joke amongst friends...Hey I probably asked you this in AIM but what equipment are you flying out of LAX?
My guess would be a 747 as KLM loves that airplane at LAX! Then again, it could also be the 777. However, due to a rise in fuel prices, he may get the mighty C-172, then he won't have to worry at all about the drinking age, cause he'll never make it!

Over the summer I was on a FlyI flight that was delayed ~3 hours or so due to thunderstorms. They made it up to us by offering free liquor.

When the flamboyant FA came up to me, he asked what I'll have, I ordered a Heinekin, he asked for ID, I said "I'll have an orange juice"...

OMG...So your saying that there was a gay flight attendant on an airplane? Damn I need to write my congressman...lol!

Because you can't do what there laws and customs are in U.S. skies. What you do after you leave the U.S. is a different story.

Not true...Taiwan is a haven for pedophiles.Americans by the dozen go there to have sex with underage boys and girls. Taiwanese officials know it goes on but don't do anything about it as the sex trade brings in a crap load of money annually. But Americans engaging in said behavior can and have been arrested here in the US for there criminal actions in Taiwan!

If everything goes well, I'll be instructing next year by this time, probably some unlucky pilot wanna be that has no clue his instructor was a private pilot himself the year before.
I am planning to go to Iran in next two years depending when I get done with the damn degree and ratings.
By the way Max my bad for the misspelling but sadly still standing. (Joking!!!!)

You gonna have internet access in while in Iran? If so let us know about the 747 flight. The largest plane I have been on is a DL 767-300 and a United DC-10-30.Those planes are both freaking huge not like many of the narrowbody planes I have flown on where you feel everything. In fact on both planes wouldn't have known we were airborne if not for the rotation of the plane. They were like a huge comfy SUV with good shocks where you don't feel anything and as quiet as a soundproof recording studio...or a Lexus take your pick!

Yeap, prolly will. Dont know if i'll have time to go on though, but i definately will try!

To tell you the truth, not really looking forward to the flight. No PTV's and not alot of space for someone like me being 6'2.

Trying to score the exit row though, that'd be good!

Hey, at least i can dress GQ! It's nice and cold in iran, so time to layer up!:rawk:

I'll put 10 bucks on you being able to drink. No one cares....especially on international flights flown by foreign carriers....sooooo...enjoy the free booze...have fun getting tanked.....it's the only entertainment you have on a 10+ hour flight........that and hitting on the flight attendants, but that's another story....

I know you were being sarcastic, but I said flamboyant, not gay. There is a difference. Richard Simmons is flamboyant, but, man, if he's gay, I don't know if anyone is safe. :D :sarcasm:

There's no federal drinking age in the United States. All of the individual states set it at 21, or else the feds would withhold transportation funding as a matter of policy. For all I know, there may be a federal law applying to airline passengers in the matter though.

Thanks, your right, there is no federal drinking age, I though The National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 created a federal minimum, but you are right, it just told each state to raise their drinking age to 21, or else we'll cut back on the money we give you and your highways though the Federal Highway Act (basically had the same effect as a minimum age cause states love money!). Huh, That's the govt for you.

Learn something new every day.

Flight attendants are required to observe the legal drinking age of 21. They may not serve liquor to persons under the age of 21. If they do so they are in violation of company policy and may face disciplinary action.

I was never qualified international, so I don't know what the rules there are, especially on a forgien carrier. My guess is they probably will let you.
