Just to set the record straight ... I flew Cobras in the Army National Guard, I now fly the C-12 ( King Air 200 ). The Cobras are now retired.

I work at a grocery store sacking groceries right now for $5.75 an hour. First of all, I don't expect tips. All I expect to receive is some RESPECT. I do things a lot of people don't want to do. I have picked up trash and some stuff to gross to mention in the parking lot with sub zero temps., cleaned bathrooms, cleaned wet and sticky messes, emptied trash that is dripping some sort of goo, and other things. If you treat me with respect, I will move as fast as I can so you can get out of the grocery store and some place fun. But if I am disprespected and treated like dirt, your food will receive equal treatment. I will weigh your bags down with as much weight as they can carry, smash your bread, whatever. I will take my sweet time sacking and loading your food, and you can forget about the complimentary drive up.
 
Karma dude. An awesome employee, and one that will eventually move farther then any one else in life, is the one who still gives the great service DESPITE how customers may treat them. You know I had a really awful freaking crummy day once and snapped a little at an employee, and the person smiled and said "I hope the rest of your day is better" and I immediately apologized and it perked up the rest of my day.
 
One of my managers was mad at me once for not coming in one day on a day I had off and which they were requesting help. She rarely scheduled me to work after that for about two months trying to get a rise out of me, yet I kept my mouth shut and now she respects me more than ever. How is that for karma?
