Yeah, that.I think he means they're not ugly.
They're downright gorgeous airplanes.

I'm pretty sure neither FlightSafety nor Simuflight give short courses for an initial. You'll do fine. Study, cooperate, and graduate.
If I go it would be the schoolhouse, though I'm not sure if it's going to be the long or a shortened course. But obviously I'd want a descent understanding of the systems and limitations before I even got there.
Whoa, not too much at once, I'm only going to be an FO.I'd suggest understanding them in climb and cruise, too, but maybe that's just me...
I have a couple types in the corporate side, and I've never heard of a class shorter than 3 weeks ish.Autothrust Blue said:I personally think that a type rating school ought to be longer than a week, but I guess OP won't be getting typed.

Ok, a "couple".Adler said:You went to falcon 50 school eh?
Apologies, I'm not very bright and somehow misinterpreted your post. Bonus points for the person that can name the only Gulfstream with brown wheels. That was an ugly airplane. That they ain't!
Awesome, thanks, I'll give it a read. This guy blogs his entire type course. Not sure how helpful or relevant it is, but pretty interesting nonetheless.
Wow that be great. I still havn't decided to make the switch or not, but have to in the next couple days so I'll PM you shortly. I definitely would want to have as much of the systems and procedures down before I even get there. Thanks!I did the initial for the GIV at CAE and it was over 3 weeks, I felt it was a week too long and that was my first type rating. If you need study material let me know.
What experience did you have to convince them to let that happen? I didn't think it was legal for a short course for an initial at the schoolhouses. Interesting...Did my initial Lear at Simuflight on a short course. Drink from a fire hose much?
