Delta's new safety video

Cats. Lots of cats. Rather tired of theses stupid videos. They're like a really bad song on the radio that they keep playing in hopes that I will change my mind.

Yeah. Not bad to the casual traveler, but to employees and regulars they get pretty old I'd imagine. Plus they're so much longer than they really need to be. "Delta XXX, are you ready for departure?" "Negative, we're still playing cat videos in the back."

Literally lol at this. Thanks. On the one hand the occasional flyer probably does watch now which is whole point but we've taken it further than it needs to go. The one with the pilot in the stupid leather hat was the last straw for me.

As a guy who spends entirely too much time on the internet, I found this amusing as a promotional piece, but I also found myself kinda happy that my commute is usually on RJs where I don't have to see this every single time.

When it's clear that a company is trying very hard to be hip and relevant, it comes across as the opposite. Also, the guy needs to relax his eyebrows. His constant expression of surprise was exhausting to watch. But it is creative and doesn't take itself too seriously, which is refreshing.

Personally I think Virgin America's briefing video, was better and far more creative. @Cherokee_Cruiser

Air New Zealand has always had the best. They come across as natural and yet still amusing. The first one Delta did (with the finger wag and the tooth glint smile) was fine, but these have total gotten out of hand. Would never work for us out here either as often times our out to off time is less than 5 minutes. #nomergerplease

I think spunky and fun works for low cost domestic carriers, but if I'm about to go across a pond, calm, quiet, professional is what I want to see. Not sure why it matters where I'm going, but it does.

It's Hawaii--you guys should totally have a fun, off kilter safety video!
