Delta's new safety video

I think spunky and fun works for low cost domestic carriers, but if I'm about to go across a pond, calm, quiet, professional is what I want to see. Not sure why it matters where I'm going, but it does.

This is the one thing that I don't like about these types of videos.

It's one thing to play this for the ATL-MCO crowd and they might get a good laugh at the internet people.

But it's also playing on:

DTW-NGO: Automotive businessmen, many of them Japanese. Do they know who the bug-eyes girl is?

MNL-NRT: Does 85 year old Filipino woman starting a 24 hour transit to ORF know what the deal is with the shark cat?

Lagos-ATL: Is the average passenger going to understand why fruit snacks are exploding in slow motion out of the man at the bulkhead seat's crotch?

Anyone who does not speak English may also think the ending is an advertisement.

And so on.

Personally I found it entertaining and I like it a lot, as a video to watch one time from my couch. But I don't know if that will be the case after seeing it time after time. I guess we'll find out how long they'll have it run for.

Dear God, why?!

Oh god the agony [emoji23]

Blah blah company preferred airline blah blah blah. That changed recently though.

But I made that status last year. So far I haven't even made A list. Things are looking up

I bought my own RT ticket to Europe and back this month on Delta. Does that buy me anything? It was actually great!

Had you told me earlier, I could have mentioned it during In Command.

And the guys in Command would remind you that they make these for two people: the cabin inspector POI and the once a year traveler. They make it for the POI because they can convince them that the passengers will actually pay attention to the safety video, and he's happy that people might put down their iPads for a few minutes to realize that yes, the aircraft does have seat belts.

Second, they make it for the once a year traveler who actually NEEDS to be told there's a seat belt.

They could have Playboy produce the video and folks that fly every day would still tune out, but that's not who this is for.

Hence why everyone here thinks it's stupid.

DAFUQ......? All of life is derivative of:

- BOB and Tom show
-Family Guy
- interwebz dweeb fest
-social media buzz

Except the crew still has to wear the admiral suit.

Derg, you'll soon be in new Delta attire complete with skinny pants, millennial weave lid, rainbow colored wings.

I chuckled heartily at every meme I knew, but for people who think its pronounced "me-me" or think its a French word, its going to be weird and confusing.

Edit: It looks like there's another parody safety brief and I'm just not good with search button
